1.6 Conclusions

We have found strong evidence that:

- In TV as a whole, women die disproportionately more than men.

- The yearly death rate of queer characters has been decreasing since 1995, but has been increasing again since approximately 2002.

- 2016 was a horrible fluke in death, particularly for queer women.

We also have weak evidence that the yearly death rate is affected by what happens to women, but we do not have the tools to prove this to the level that would turn it into strong evidence.
